One of the most common questions we get: “How much space does a 360 photo booth need?” Here’s a practical venue checklist to make setup smooth on event day.
Floor Space
Plan for about a 10 × 10 ft area. That covers the platform, the sweep of the rotating arm, lighting and a safe buffer. Add space nearby for a short line and the sharing station.
Surface
- A flat, level surface is essential for safety.
- Hard floors, low-pile carpet and dance floors work well.
- For grass or uneven ground, we recommend a flooring platform or tent floor.
Power
A standard household outlet within reach is usually all we need. Let us know if the nearest outlet is far away so we can bring the right extension and cable covers.
Ceiling Height
Most ballrooms, halls and homes have plenty of clearance. Low ceilings or hanging décor near the booth should be noted in advance.
Indoor vs. Outdoor
- Indoors: ideal — controlled lighting and no weather risk.
- Covered outdoors: patios and tents work well if level and shaded.
- Uncovered outdoors: avoid direct sun, wind and rain; Texas summers can be intense.
Placement Tips
- Near the dance floor for energy — but not blocking traffic.
- Away from buffet lines and exits.
- Against a wall or backdrop for clean video backgrounds.
- With room for a red carpet and stanchions.
