What Is a 360 Photo Booth and How Does It Work?

The 360 photo booth is the biggest upgrade to party photography in a decade. Instead of a still picture, guests get a short, cinematic, slow-motion video captured from every angle. Here is exactly how it works.

The Hardware

• The platform: a sturdy round base that typically fits 3–4 guests. Ours glows with an LED ring for extra drama.
• The rotating arm: a motorized boom that sweeps a camera or phone 360° around the platform at adjustable speeds.
• The camera: records high-frame-rate HD video so slow motion stays smooth.
• Lighting: a ring light and LED lighting keep faces bright and flattering.

The Software

After capture, booth software automatically applies effects: slow motion, speed ramps (fast-slow-fast), reverse “boomerang” playback, music and a custom overlay with your event name, date, monogram or company logo. The clip renders in seconds.

Instant Sharing

At the sharing station, guests scan a QR code or enter a phone number or email to receive their video. No app download is needed, and clips are formatted for social media.

The Role of the Attendant

An experienced attendant is essential. They coach poses, manage the line, control spin speed, keep guests safe on the platform and make sure each video looks amazing. Every Dtown 360 rental includes one.

Why Guests Love It

• It is interactive — friends cheer each other on.

• Everyone gets a share-worthy video instantly.
• It works for all ages and every type of event.
